Invisalign Process
Invisalign is a cosmetic dentistry application which uses clear plastic trays to gradually change the alignment of your teeth, making them straight the way traditional orthodontics do. Many orthodontists offer Invisalign for minor misalignments, but cosmetic dentists are able to provide Invisalign treatment to patients with more severe misalignment.
When you begin treatment, Dr. Barakat will first take digital X-rays of your teeth. Based on your X-rays, he will create a plan for moving your teeth into their correct alignment. Invisalign lab technicians will create a series of plastic trays for you to wear in sequence. These aligners will gradually move your teeth into the desired placement.
The trays are easy to clean and, unlike braces, you can simply remove them to brush your teeth and floss, helping keep your teeth in good health, even while you are undergoing treatment.
